It’s the famous picture material of Mt. Kinabalu as the Southeast Asia highest peak. Mt. Kinabalu is a Japanese mountain higher than Mt. Fuji at a mountain beyond 4000 meters. There are many people who climb in a place as a Malaysian Borneo island, too. An area around here is also registered with the world’s cultural and natural heritage as Kinabalu natural park. A tourist visits much, too. It’s also near Japan, so there are a lot of Japanese tourists, too. There are also many airports a hotel as Beach Resort, so the place called Kota Kinabalu in the same Borneo island is also convenient for access from Japan. There are also many luxury resort hotels, and Japanese is staying overnight much, too. To take several hours by car from Kota Kinabalu to the Kinabalu national park, it’s far little, but Kota Kinabalu doesn’t enrich accommodations near Mt. Kinabalu, so there seem to be a lot of people heading to sightseeing by a day trip from Kota Kinabalu.
A rain forest (jungle) spreads around the base in Mt. Kinabalu, and even if I don’t climb in Mt. Kinabalu, I have the tour that I walk in the jungle. There are also many animals and insects which aren’t in the jungle in Japan, and you can enjoy yourself easily. There is also a point by which a famous rafflesia is judged as the biggest flower in the world near here. But, whether I can see a rafflesia blooming depends on luck, so I don’t know whether it can be seen in a travel period only of several days.
